I found a spot of rust on an upper I recently bought.What is better to remove it Breakfree or WD-40 ?

BreakFree CLP, or kroil and a bronze brush (toothbrush type)

where on the upper? the upper is aluminum

I was thinking forwad assit, or ejection cover, only other possibility ZI can think of is rear sight.

Not if this upper is new it can just be  a rust prevent that dried from the factory. Either way CLP will clean it off.

On the Flashider not new it's a M16 slickside surlpus upper.However I also just picked up a complete lower the other day brand new. After looking closer I noticed rust on the Mag Catch.

Al does rust thank god. its the kind of rust we want to happen to al. Anodzing is al oxide. just as iron oxide is rust.

What is rust? I have heard it has something to do with something called rain. What ever that is.
