First, with the barrel nut being proprietary and threaded,will a free float rail that mounts to the barrel nut work? Also, will they work with the FSB? Next question,has anyone cut down the FSB, and installed a rail over it,if so which rail works? Finally,has anyone removed the FSB, and replaced the barrel nut with a standard one? Was this difficult? Thank you'll for the help.

I have never touched once personally. But from what I have read and seen pictures of you can easily knock the pins out of the fan and remove it to change the barrel nut. I don't think cutting it down would be an issue at all either.
