Anyone familiar with this? I had picked up a few hundred a while back, and forgot about it.

It comes in 200 rd green plastic sealed paks.

It's pretty good plinking ammo but if I recall correctly it was pretty underloaded so it would function well in the crappy British SA-80. I also recall some people having trouble with it short-stroking in their AR's. It seems this occurs more frequently in the carbines or the rifles one, but I can never remember which it is that has the most problems. -Charging Handle

Wait a minute, I was thinking about the Radway Green ammo. I don't know if the same applies to the Royal Ordnance stuff or not. I assume it's loaded to the same specs as the other, but I honestly don't know. I'm sure some of the others will be able to confirm whether it performs the same or not. -Charging Handle

The RO (L2A2) SS109 cycles my 16" Colt just fine. Chronograph average 2970 fps from that barrel. Compare this with Santa Barbara SS109 (2900 fps average) and Hanson Yugo SS109 stuff (from the late 1980's) that chronographed at an average 2930 fps.

I didn't have chrono so I can't tell if it's underpower. However, it shots out of my Bushy M4 upper (14.5") okay, as well as Colt MT 20" barrel. The accuracy is not the best, Santa Babara so far is the most accurate surplus ammo I have tried. The ammo out of the green plastic sealed packs are tarnished, I was kind of disappointed. Other then that, it's nice plinking ammo.
