The big brown truck delivered my new AR15 upper the other day. I disassembled it to clean it up. However, the retaining pin for the firing pin is WAY tight, so tight that I cannot push it all the way in with my finger. I finally got it seated all the way. Anyone else have this problem? Maybe I should order another retaining pin? Any suggestions?

Thanks

Tight is okay for a new uppers/rifles, retaining pin may have just been spred a bit causing it to be tight, I would not consider this a problem.

Its perfectly normal for them to be super tight. You can let it wear itself in, or squeeze the ends together to help it along.

...and if you should happen to sell anyone on a better design of the pin, let me know. I hate this cotter pin shape.
