Has anyone had any luck with parkerizing their own rifles?  What about colored coatings like Duracoat, etc.  Any and all suggestions are welcome.

I've park'd several items, from my FAL kits. But on an AR, only the barrel and a few small pieces are parkerized. It doesn't work on aluminum.
