KAK 18" Mid length Gas 9.5twist barrel https://www.kakindustry.com/ar-15-parts/upper-parts/barrels/7-62x39/18-0-inch/contract-76239-18-inch-mid-melonite-barrel
I put it on a lower with standard Rifle buffer..havnt shot it yet as I just finished it Wed. <img src="http://s118.photobucket.com/user/painterjohnphoto/media/18inch%20762x39%20upper/IMG_4458.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o94/painterjohnphoto/18inch%20762x39%20upper/IMG_4458.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_4458.jpg"/></a>" /> http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o94/painterjohnphoto/18inch%20762x39%20upper/IMG_4444.jpg I will never figure out how to post pics direct from photobucket it seems I installed an SLR adjustable gas block ... I tried a Griffin Arms buffer on my x39 pistol and it tamed it greatly..after I added a JP adj. gas block it actually became mild to shoot Money is no object for the buffer but wonder if anything is that much better than the standard rifle length...The "twang" or noisy recoil doesn't bother me as I don't hear/notice it I just want mild recoil when shooting for quicker follow ups |
| if you stay with the rifle buffer and tube... the steel weights in the buffer are 1/2oz... if found that by removing two and replacing with a piece of 1/2" aluminum round stock the same length I got less scope movement... the standard rifle buffer is 5.2oz and a H2 (ST T2) carbine buffer around 4.2oz... which I duplicated with the longer buffer... 3 gun rifle is a 16" mid... YMMV |
