I need some rail covers, but I'm too frickin' cheap to blow $45 on something that should cost you about $8. I mean, really, WTF are the prices for a couple of dumb pieces of plastic so high for? Fobus/First Samco makes a set that's pretty cheap, anyone have experience with them? |

had some. After being put on/taken off a time or 2, they got really loose and fell off. I have Magpul now. (btw, I agree--entirely too damn expensive for a piece of molded plastic. Probably only $.03 worth of materials in a $.25 mold....but that's the price of our addiction )

Dammit-alll, I knew it! I knew that my addiction to Black Rifle Disease was going to kill my wallet. |

Figure out what you like the look of, and just buy those. The extra couple bucks (or lack of) will always bother you if there is something you really like better. You could always make a WTB thread in the EE, and look to see who has extra panels they are willing to sell cheap. |

45$ for a full set, or $45 a piece? Either way, I thought these were the cheapest that I found so I ordered a full set. IMO they are very nice and will definately not come off. Though if you frequent take them on and off I have no idea how durable they are. Once they are put on I have not reason to take them off. http://www.ergogrips.net/fcrailcover.html |

Well, I went Magpul XT, like everyone said. I'm GALLED that I had to shell out $45 for four pieces of plastic. It's insane. Is there no one that's able to make this stuff for less? It's not like we're talking about "Super-Uber-Xtreme-Tactical" rail covers, right? They're fucking TUPPERWARE for a gun. Is there some kind of nuclear-fallout mil-spec test they need to pass to be "USGI?" All because mister Armchair Commando over here didn't want to hurt his wittle fingers on the rough metal.
