Going to be picking up a rock river varmint 20" with 1/8 twist.
The main purpose of this gun is to kill paper for tightest groups.
Dont reload as of yet, so am looking for the best factory ammo
to get some good groups. Will be shooting from a bench at 100 to
300 yd targets.Optics will be Burris black diamond 8-32x50 scope.
Any info will be helpful.

While every rifle is different, suspect the Black Hills 77 grn. SMKs will shoot very well in this rifle (for low cost accuracy).

The 69 and 77 grn. Federal Gold Medal ammo will probably shoot well also (possibly better, but they cost more).

I have the 24" RRA Varminter. Below are factory loads I have tried. The range is 100 yds and the measurments are the average of 5, five shot groups. When you start handloading you can expect .5" to .75" from many loads.
69 grain HSM commerical reloads .75"
50 grain HP flat base white Federal .75"
69g Fed Gold Match .96"
69 g Win Match 1.08"
62 g IMI 1.23"
X193 1.37"
Q3131A 1.65"
62 g Sel & Bel 2.09"
55g Sel & Bel 2.3"
55 g Wolf 2.53"
