Got a chance to buy some wolf. Without wishing to cover old ground, I've read that some wolf is coated and this can gunge up a hot barrel. Seller says ammo has green lacquer coating. Can you guys let me know if this ok to put through my AR? I'm not too experienced with AR ammo so I'm grateful for the advice.

Well, you covering old ground, like it or not. The melting lacquer is a myth, you can point a propane torch at an empty lacquer coated case and it wont melt. You are more likely to have trouble with Wolf being a little underpowered and short stroking in your rifle. Also, your chamber will get dirtier from shooting Wolf.

Thanks - I just meant that I didn't want to start another debate. I'll take a chance as it's $120 for 400 rounds.

Thanks........didn't see the FAQ - I was browsing on AR15 mobile and the FAQ area doesn't show up on the mobile site.
