| Is there a mount for a Surefire-type flashlight that can easily be attached/unattached from a standard set of carbine handguards and still be expected to keep the light firmly attached to the rifle? I don't want to add a set of rails just to mount a light, and I really would rather not mount it on the barrel. |

I don't remember if it fits regular carbine handguards or just the M4 handguards.Streichers should have it in stock. |

Quoted: You also might want to check out one of the IP's here, Elzetta. They also make a nifty flash light mount that uses the fixed front sight post. Hope this helps. Vic Thanks Vic! Here is a photo of our popular Elzetta ZFH1500. The Thumb Screw version allows rapid installation & removal of lights without tools: ![]() |

Quoted: It appears to be polymer in the photos. Can it handle the heat? The Elzetta ZFH1500 will handle heat from the most extreme conditions. See this thread for customers' experiences. |

The ELZetta is a awesome mount. I have them on all my SD rifles, well almost all. They don't work with the 6920 side sling mount, so on that rifle I went with Vikings offset mount. |
