I am assembling a new lower composed of an ALG ACT trigger group and lower kit (from Brownells) all into a new Aero Precision new lower.
The Trigger group went in just fine, but I cannot get the selector to go through.
It will not fully clear the trigger walls (the channel side where the disconnector spring resides). I can insert the selcetor from the left side but it will no go through the right side. I cannot insert beyond the trigger wall from the right side.
I tried the selector in a blank lower (with a trigger assembly) and it clears fine.
Also the ACT instruction show the channel open at the end, mine is closed.
Any suggestions (I don't want to file the trigger channel down).

do you have the hammer in and is it cocked?

This. Cock the hammer.

If cocking the hammer does not help, punch the trigger pin out. Then you probably have enough room to wiggle the parts into place.

.......or remove the hammer then install the selector.

Trigger is cocked before I try to install the selector.
I'll try removing the trigger et al...

OK got it in:
Removed hammer, unpinned trigger, inserted selector, then reassembled... First time I have needed to do this. Selector doesn't rub but close.
This aside, the ALG ACT is very nice.
Thanks for input!

I had the same tight tolerances installing the ACT into my Aero Precision X15 Stripped Lower. If I remember correctly after installing the hammer (uncocked) and trigger, I used the delrin side of my jeweler's hammer to lightly tap the selector through. Last year I seen a post that some reported that the selector could not be turned to the safe position with the bolt locked back. This may be related to tighter tolerances comtributing.

Thank AR-4C
Thanks exactly what I ran into (first time). I got it together and next time I'll only insert the trigger loosely first then the selector.
The ALG ACT is very close to the selector but it doesn't rub. I ran some function test runs and there were no issues.
