I was looking into getting a Bushmaster AR-15 carbine with the removeable top in the 16 & 1/2" barrel. This will be a LEO gun, "not that it matters now". What should I expect to pay for this gun. I ned a ball park to see if I am getting a good deal or not. Oh and this will be a new in the box rifle from Bushmaster to the dealer. Thanks in advance.
The part number is
RCWA3F16.

I could also get the
RCWA3F16M4.

Call Bushmaster or a Dealer.

I already have 2 prices. I just want to see what other people are paying for theirs. I also checked the Bushmaster website and the SRP is $950.00.

I got my  PCWA2X 14M4MY  with A3 upper for $834.00 from my local Gun Shop a couple of months ago.

I did notice something different about these 'new' Bushmaster models. My Bushmaster manual said that the model I got is chambered for 5.56 NATO, the same is stamped on the barrel.  These new models say they are .223 Remington. I read on the "Ammo-Oracle"

http://www.ammo-oracle.com/body.htm#chamb

That a barrel specifically chambered for 5.56 NATO is stronger than one made for .223. The 5.56 calibers can fire .223 ammo no problem, but the .223's weren't recommended to shoot (Hot) 5.56 through them. I'd ask them about that before getting your new gun.

5.56 vs .223, really is a non issue in this respect.

Wow, it look slike you guys are finding pretty good prices for not being LEO people. I did not know the public could get such good prices.

????

Are you going by the prices on Bushmaster's website?

If so, don't.  Those are MSRP and no one pays those.

The rifle I noted is not really LEO because its not select fire.  It has all "preban" features and a three week wait.  Best price I found was at AIM Surplus on aim modle number BUSH-BCWA3F16M4 A3 Type  $809.95+tax.  I live close enough to pick it up myself so no transfer cost.  I took some good advice on this site and think it was a good deal.
