About the only thing I could fit my scope and tripod in would be something like a kifaru longpocket, but it's too big to wear on a belt (except in the back like a fanny pack) \

That looks like the only pouch that will do it - and it's a good maker. I'm lusting after one of their packs. I was really thinking about either attaching it to a pack or one of Eagle's HSRC's. If it was a belt case I'd have to improvise or jury rig a solution. I'm not dragging around the factory hard case in the field.
