Hey all, I'm looking into building an AR pistol for dedicated HD purposes. My parts list:
Upper:
DPMS Upper
DPM BCG
DPMS 11.5" Chrome Lined Barrel
Magpul Handguard
Primary Arms MD06
Magpul MBUS

Lower:
DPMS Lower
ACE Pistol Tube
CMMG LPK
Magpul MOE Grip
Magpul BAD Lever

BUDGET: ~$1000

Now does anyone have a good suggestion for a muzzle brake? Also, will a heavy projectile (69GR) make this a "more reliable" firearm by increasing dwell time, I'm thinking it should but is this proven?

Brake + pistol build = loud as $h!+!!!  People next to you at the range aren't exactly going to befriend you either...  just fyi

I'd avoid a brake and go with the KAK Slimline Flash Can.

I know. My 16" build with a brake on it is worse to stand next to than my buddy's 300 Winchester Magnum.

+1 on the flash can. if your using a carbine gas tube you should be ok (i assume its carbine from the length listed). i build my pistols with adjustable gas blocks, heavy buffers and upgraded extractor springs with an o-ring. it will be loud if you ever have to shoot it inside, hell all of my pistols are loud as fook outside. you may want to look at the kak super tube and sb15, i love that set up or a thordsen adapter with a caa saddle

Flash can looks like the way to go, just checked it out.
