That looks well padded too. $25 is a bargain. I am gonna have to get one for my 8.5" 300blk pistol

Kids walk down the halls everyday with those. Always ask myself, who's got the gun?
|

Any links on as to where to acquire one of those? I was on the Phitz site but cannot seem to find them.
Thanks! |

Found this case for a mandolin. Its is a bit smaller than the other but should fit ar pistol builds.

I was just looking at these and mandolin (and Ukulele) cases online this weekend. At least now, I know they will work. Thanks!

Bummer! My pistol with 10.5" barrel is 28" in length. I don't want to have to stretch the case around it.

I just ordered three cases, two ukulele cases (25" & 31") and a mandolin case (26.5"), each one was on sale for $12, $13 & $15 bucks. Plus 5 bucks a pop for shipping. The mandolin case was brown, and the ukulele cases were 'hacky sack' camo (flowers & Hawaiian print).
Tried browsing the viola cases but the page doesn't seem to be available, must be a site issue cause it wouldn't pull up on my work PC or the home Mac. Cheapest case on Amazon was $60. Still plenty of sub $20 cases left for other instruments. |
|
I made cuts in the pocket that is used to hold a bow.
Now I can fit about 4 Glock Happy Sticks on the interior. |

My three cases came in today, these are nice cases with heavy duty zippers and long pulls. Each one has a large zippered outside pocket and a single shoulder strap that runs the length of the case. There's an extra padded 'lip' that runs the length of the zipper so the zipper can't scratch what's inside.
The shape of the mandolin case fits my shortest AR pistol the best and does not have to be separated. Also takes a 16" upper with optics and lower w/M4 stock. The baritone ukulele case (31") is too narrow for an assembled pistol with an optic BUT fits my Storm carbine, my AK folder, or my VZ folder, as well as my Draco pistol with a brace. The small (think it was a tenor) case is the perfect length for an upper with a 10" barrel. If the soft viola/violin cases come back, that's probably the most accommodating shape, but no one else has them this cheap. |

Mandolin case and my 5.5" AR9 I completed yesterday. Fits perfectly and the front pouch is big enough for my ETS 31 round mags.

What size is your assembled pistol with optic that does not fit the baritone case? That's what I was looking at for my 10.5 pistol with an absolute co-witness red dot. Overall length of 28 with just a standard pistol buffer tube. View Quote But the wide part of the uke case still isn't that wide, the mandolin shape works better unless your optics are qd or small. I have another AR pistol with just a buffer tube, Sightmark optic, magwell grip and Ergo grip on a 6" barreled upper and it fits fine in the mandolin case. Looks like it could handle an upper that's 3 or 4 inches longer than that. I think my mandolin case was only 26" long. |

yes that is the Brown listed ..
real nice case for so little money . very good padding and a lot more room than you wold think it would have . if you had a pistol and is 27.5 and under it's the ticket in a padded case . TS2 |

I received mine. Unfortunately, it didn't work out.
My 8.5" 300 BLK with Phase 5 Hex2 Buffer and KAK flash can fit great, but not with the Shockwave installed. The Hex2 only allows the SW Blade to slide 2/3 of the way on due to its shape. Great for a longer length of pull but will not fit in a 28.5" case. Sold it to a buddy for his 5.56 pistol. He loves it. I am bummed as it is the perfect covert AR Pistol case. I ended up getting the 32" UTG Covert Homeland Security Case. |

Thanks for the thread. Mine is scheduled to be delivered Monday. But I noticed the tag says musicians only!

I ordered a Bobolat tennis racket case off Ebay for less than 12 bucks a few days ago for my AR pistol. After seeing this thread I could not control myself and also just ordered the black Phitz mandolin case for about 19 bucks. And, I already have a UTG "discreet carry" case that I carry the pistol and spare mags, etc. in now although its pretty obvious its a gun case by being rectangular with a large outside zip pocket. Guess I will have several options for discreet carry finally.
|
|
If you have a 'discreet' case, try tacking on a power tool brand patch.
A 'Milwaukee' or 'Dewalt' brand patch is pretty recognizable. Although a case full of Snap-On or Mac tools would probably be worth more than my firearm. |
