Hello All,
Don't worry not a question about DI/Piston systems... I know PWS makes an incredible product as I am holding the Mk116 upper assembly in my hands and it's gorgeous. I've poked around quite a few places and found a ton of general opinions on all kinds of gear, but nothing to directly speak to my set-up and application. I have two questions. 1:What is the ideal stock to balance mk116 with some decent optics on there? I likely will not tech it out with lbs. of crap but some decent glass and a vert grip is not out of the ordinary. My priorities on the stock front are durability/quality and ergonomics will shooting. I really am interested in the UBR but have read some things to make me not so sure how PWS enhanced buffer tube would work with the UBR. How would this compare to the weight balance and durability running an ACS-l/CTR or IMOD/EMOD? 2: Trigger question kind of miffs me. I have little experience with a long gun and don't know if I should be nurturing two-stage skills or just sticking with a quality one stage. I shoot hand guns regularly if that is a factor. Can anyone shed some insight as to why one might choose one over the other for a CQB 16' carbine with a max application being out to 400-500 ish yards? In either case any specific makes and models would be helpful. I'm well aware of some of the quality manufacturers like Giselle but wary to buy without some first hand advice. Durability, quality, and reliability are must haves with price being of less concerns. Thanks in advance to the community for all your help. |

Update:
So I think I'm going with a Sprinco Blue and an H2 buffer on a UBR. I don't have any buffer or buffer spring yet fyi. From the research I've done this would work pretty well with my MK116 set-up. If anyone disagrees please chime in. I'm still stuck on the trigger and need advice. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks. |
