| What lower would I need for a POF .308 upper? And out of curiosity the 5.56? |
|
So do I have this correct, the POF pins are smaller than the DPMS pins?
So in order to use a DPMS Lower with a POF Upper, you would have to be able to drill/bore out the pin holes on the Upper? Anybody think this is possible, or has anyone done it, or come up with another way to make it work? Thanks, Capt Richardson |

Sleeves? I assume to make the capture pins fit? How much are they? $19:50 http://www.coldwarshooters.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=26&products_id=500 You may also want to check out the new DPMS compatible lowers by CMMG and Iron Ridge Armory. They are supposed to be directly compatible with having to deal with pin sleeves, etc. |

I haven't heard of anybody trying to drill the pin holes out. I would definitely be curious how it goes if you decide to try it. |

Thanks,
I have only had my hands on 1 POF .308 Upper, and at that time I was not thinking about the "pin issues" so I did not look at the ability to enlarge the holes to fit the pins on a DPMS Lower. I own 4 DPMS .308 Lowers, so I really don't want to have to buy another dedicated POF Lower. Of course at this point, between price and availability I am not sure that I will be buying a POF .308 Upper anytime soon! If anyone does have a POF .308 Upper and could take a look at it in terms of enlarging the holes, please let us know what the possibilities look like. I am also curious if there would be other issues such as the positioning and alignment of the Lower and Upper? Thanks Again, Capt Richardson |
