Hi Team ARFCOM,

Like I promised here earlier, I said as soon as I got the T&E examples of the POF 416 System in for the article I am working on for Small Arms Review Magazine I would drop some quick pics and a quickie report.  These just came in before the weekend and I only had a brief period to function test them before hitting the range for a little endurance testing on Saturday.  After my test firing in the complete dark in Friday night I determined they were ready to get busy.

This is just a little quickie report at this point and I will do my best to update as I get the chance.  Things are looking pretty busy for a while so don't hold your breath for additional pics and info but I'll be happy to share as I get the chance on occasion.

First, I am very impressed so far.  These guns are coated inside the uppers, on the bolt carriers, charging handles, etc with a Nickel material that is slippery as hell.  The claim is that not only will these not need regular maintainance or cleaning to function correctly, they don't even need lubrication of any kind!  Since that was the claim, I figured it was a great place to start.  We ran a few thousand rounds of assorted stuff, in full auto only, mostly long bursts and never had one failure other than a worn out old disconnector pin I threw in the gun to get it up and running as a select fire in haste.  I didn't want to wait the time it takes to order a new set of M16 internals so I just used some old, spare parts to bring it to life for the maiden voyage.  The guns shot hard and fast and were real attention grabbers to anyone who was in hearing distance.  The combination of the 9.5-inch barrel with hot ammo combined with the tricked out look of the Predator rail system and pictograph receiver markings made it irresistible to any passers-by.  When I would drop the gas piston and op rod out and reveal no gas tube, jaws were dropping and a chorus of "Lemmeseethat" could be heard every time.  Excellent stuff so far!!!
