The oly arms .45ACP upper comes with a 10 round UZI magazine with tubing and sheetmetal  added to it  to fit a standard lower.

Is this magazine made specifically for the .45 round, or is it  just a regular 9mm magazine that .45ACP happens to fit in single stack?

It is a magazine made to fit the Uzi that was (is?) offered in .45 ACP.

You can squeeze .40 S&W rounds into a 9mm mag, also .357 Sig I believe, but the greater diameter of the .45 would require major modifications to the feedlips, as well as double-stacks (almost all) not fitting into a 9mm mag well.

Also, another option is the Cav Arms MkII lower that was made with a wider mag well to accept unmodified (CHEAP!) grease guns mags with a Hahn block.
