I thought some might be interested in this information.

I was informed by Atlantic Firearms that the Oly Glock lower ARs have not been shipping for the last 5 months.  And that they have no idea when they might start shipping again.

why not contact oly themselves to see what the hold up is

That is exactly what I have done.  I sent Olyarms an email and am awaiting a response.

This is the response that I got from Oly...

"They are correct, we have been shipping these models in small production runs for at least 5-6 months. There is a considerable backorder on these models of just about that long those as well. If one were to order one today, delivery estimates are now ranging 4-6 months."

Looks like it is a bit of a wait.

I was just talking with a bubby that works for Oly. They have a considerable government contract that they are working on right now. They are running at capacity to get orders filled right now. The time frame that bradinnm mentioned seems about the right length of time.

Just thought that I'd mention it. I'm looking for one of these lowers also, so I can finish my SBR.

I ordered mine through atlantic in july or august.  I sent oly an e-mail and got the same reply.

Between this and the fs2000 I'm on the list for, I could save up my quarters to buy a preban SIG 550 before I get these two.

Thanks for the info.  I checked and all they had was the A2 style and I want a flattop.  I ordered one about two weeks ago and was told today that Oly's "crystal ball was foggy", their words not mine.   Limited availability of products seems to be reoccurring trend for this industry in general, just my .02.

Have you guys seen the way the mags sit in the lower? Also the modification to the lower incluses a wierd plate on the outside. For that kind of money it should work good and look good. I know they work good.

The mag looks funny in the gun, but since I have over 40 .40 glock mags, I'll deal with it.  As long as it functions fine.
