While installing a new out of box M-4 top (preban) on my SP lower, the factory supplied offset pivot pin assembly seems to move everytime you open it up.
Anybody else have this problem?
And where can I get some different pins to try?
Thanks!

Welcome to the wonderful wacky world of "The Wrong Sized Hole Guns".
I have to make sure that the pin is in the correct position everytime I mate the two halves up.
DPMS, OLY, COLT, BROWNELLS and many more supply these pins.

I believe Bushmaster offers these pins.

Thanks!
Aside from this small problem, it's a beaut!

USNJoe,
I am planning on using a Colt M4 Upper Conversion Kit on my Colt R6600/R AR-15A2 HBAR.

The R6600 has a LARGE Front Take Down Pin.

Does the Colt #AR6920DC M4 Conversion Kit also use the LARGE Front Take Down Pin?

As my Colt AR-15A2 is NEW, I may sell ot trade it for a Pre-Ban Carbine, if the pins do NOT match.

Most Colt M4 uppers come with the small front pivot pin,as I havent seen any advertised with a large front pivot pin.Bayer

My first Colt MT6731 had a large pin hole upper.
Very strange.

If you are buying a new Clot M4 upper it should be a small pin hole and it won't have a chromed chamber.

I epoxied the offset bushing into my large hole uppers (in the correct position, of course) and made ALL of my guns small-hole standard.
Life is much simpler this way.
