Great weapons red dot. great for the money PLUS......Eotechs are nice also but mine went back because it kept coming loose under full auto fire even with lock tite on it.....so go figure.....
Nothing wrong at all with that red dot......I prefer it because the bat life is high and its not as big as the EO |

We used to carry them, but we kept getting returns so we now carry EOTech which blows the OKO away. Funny, we haven't received any back from you for repair or replacement. The EOTech is a fine optic, but I would put an OKO up against it (and we do in competitions). I have used both sights and honestly like the simplicity and longer battery life of the OKO over that of the EOTech. The built in iron sights are also a nice bit of back up. You can get the OKO from Brownells, Dillon or any of our other dealers. I know that Dillon and Brownells both offer 100% satisfaction guarantees, so if you don't like it, you can send it back. |

When I first started shooting matches I used an Aimpoint, I switched over to the OKO because it gave me a wider field of view with equal performance. I didn't like the feeling of looking through a tube with the Aimpoint. The SC4 would work, but the SC3 would not (as it attaches independent of the sight). Sorry you experienced problems with the OKO. All of our other dealers would at the very least have informed us of a problem. Your "eating" bad sights was very noble of you. As far as the Falcon Industries plastic rails (which we do not make and are in no way for use with the OKO sight) The 4 you sent back were replaced over 4 months ago (I would be more then happy to give you the Fed-Ex tracking number for that package). If there was a shortage or loss, again, we were not informed of it. Also as you know, there is no such thing as an "Unbreakable" product and we do not and have never advertised anything we sell as being such. If you would like to start a separate thread to [b]publicly[/b] air why you do/do not carry certain products. I would be more then happy to discuss that with you there. Otherwise, I think you have hijacked this thread enough for now don't you? |

The EOTech is a wonderful sight, however, the OKO is 10 times more the sight the average shooter on this board needs. No offense to any people here, but we are not talking about jumping out of a plane with our rifles here and everyone takes good care of their weapon it appears. It seems anyone who owns a gun should have even just a little mechanical inclination. The OKO feet screws do not strip easily. As such, if they broke it, they're idiots. That sounds like an abused sight to me. Secondly, just go up to the next screw size and tap it accordingly. You can handle that right? Its good that you helped out the customer with their problem, but that's your retarded decision and no one else's. In a match, that could cost you points, on the ground, in hostile territory, that could cost men their lives. Anytime I have to drill and tap the body of a plastic red dot sight, something has gone seriously wrong...But then, I probably should have chosen a higher quality sight in the first place. CCA has nothing to gain by carrying anything but the best there is to offer, and the optics we currently carry reflect our high standards for the gear we supply. We are no longer a Cavalry Arms master distributor, and thus, I am free to speak my mind about the quality of their dot sight. J. |

The same the rifles and equipment I use in competitive shooting are the same gear I would use in a real situation. The rifles I use are the same ones that I carry in the trunk of my car. At those matches I regularly beat some military and Law Enforcement personnel. It helps to be proficient with the gear you sell....I don't think that's anything you would know about though. Shooting a rifle with assualt gear or body armor on is very different than shooting it in jeans and a t-shirt. Our testing using military gear is one reason we developed the C1 stock for propper length of pull with gear on. but some other people, people who do shoot-and-move for a living, prefer to train as they fight, I do regulary train and shoot with Military and LE types. Most of them seem to think the OKO is just fine. Mine never have and I use my gear more and harder than you and many of the people on the site have. Part of my job is trying to break the things we make in common ways or in situations the product could be used reasonably and expect to survive. Operator Error is not something we can account for. Oovertorquing the screws on the feet on the OKO is a common cause for them breaking. They only need be hand tightened with the supplied allen wrench and they will stay in place. In a match, that could cost you points, on the ground, in hostile territory, that could cost men their lives. Listen to you, the salty war veteran. What practical shooting experience do you have, other than the two matches you shot with us? Anytime I have to drill and tap the body of a plastic red dot sight, something has gone seriously wrong...But then, I probably should have chosen a higher quality sight in the first place. No one should have to retap the holes on an OKO as long as it left the factory assembled correctly and was not damaged via operator error. CCA has nothing to gain by carrying anything but the best there is to offer, and the optics we currently carry reflect our high standards for the gear we supply. We are no longer a Cavalry Arms master distributor, and thus, I am free to speak my mind about the quality of their dot sight. J. Hm, it would appear I owe everyone an apology. I apparently have been coming off as a knowledgeable individual with experience with weapons and weapons accessories, and suddenly, the truth comes to light. I have only been to two organized competition shooting events in my entire life, and am a very average shot. I am very far from proficient with any weapon. Can't hit the broad side of a barn.
As such, I feel that I am no longer qualified to speak on the relative quality of optics or firearms in general. Russell has...well, Russell has shot in a lot more competitions than I have. I mean, a lot more. Lots of competitions. An assload. Of competitions. I am unwilling to take the word of any of the military personnel I have spoken to on the subject of optics, nor can I trust my own observations on optics quality and durability, over his because he shoots wearing body armor and I don't. He also has shot a lot more paper and steel than I have. I haven't dealt with the company, so I'm not going to say they are a bad company or are committing any type of fraud. Let's not turn this into a bashing thread and try to stay on topic. They should however note that what they say on this board is seen by potential customers (kids in BDU's AND professionals, and other) and should probably be thought out a little better, and emotions kept under control. Most of us say things at times, that later we feel we should not have said. The people involved and some not involved in this can learn from it.
Back to the OKO's... I like the way a Trijicon Reflex is built a little better personally, but I do like the variable intensity of the dot on an OKO. Like I said, I'll probably get another, but I WILL get the "shield" for it, as I don't really trust the plastic OKO to withstand my harsh treatment of my rifles. :) |

Goddamn regular Todd Bailey struttin' around here. All these pre-orders with "I cant believe how many have been ordered already, golly!" Bashing the holy hell out of former business associates with petty personal attacks. Is that really you posting Jugger? So who are your military clients? Are they the imaginary "over seas" clients ala Special Weapons or the local ROTC wanting to dress up their drill rifles? Now my dad is an O6 in the Navy, he used to be Skipper of VP65 and fly P3 Orion subhunter/killers. He had a chance to fire an SW5 post sample. He remarked that it was the coolest thing he'd ever shot. Now my dad likes guns, but he doesnt know a whole lot about them so I'll forgive him. But then again, he is in military (inactive reserve now), so he must know what he's talking about. So what's out there in TN? Arnold AFB, Ft Campbell, and then you got TN Nat'l Guard. So you've got AF out there, probably no PJs. Then theres 101 Airborne, Ill bet they coud kick my ass, but I doubt there allowed to modify their rifle with non issue equipment. Now God Bless those Nat'l Guard (I'm too much of a pussy to join any branch of the military) these guys are the most likely out of the above group to modify their personal weapons, however, I just really doubt that they came to you. Any kind of real high speed operators have a unit credit card setup. If they need something, they order it from places theyre already set up with or they say "hey!, we're special forces, send us free shit... now!". Anyone else buying probably would not be authorized to put it on their weapon. I know who the Cavalry Arms military distributor in TN is, its STEC by fort Cambpell owned by Ed Lowry who does actually sell to 5th Special Forces, who do you sell to again? How bout those 9mm USPs? They recoil like a friggen 50AE Desert Eagle. At least in small girlish hands they do. Speaking of small girlish hands, I've seen them shoot and control thier weapon waaaaaaaay better than some of the posters on this thread. When you actually train with the equipment you use on a fairly regular, consistent basis, you tend to be much more competent with it. Russell is a friend of mine, you can find our occasional thread where we're bitching back and forth about something, but I'll attest to the fact that he actually uses his gear at matches because it is somewhat beneficial. He's under the impression that it is good product testing, and constantly strives to improve his skill at arms, maybe he's right. I dunno what you do with yours other than pose in those scary photographs with a super serious expression on your face. Check the galleries on CavalryArms.com and you will see the Cavalry Arms Staff actually uses what they make and sell. |

We, like most corporations, need the tax advantage of an interest draw for tax purposes simply because we own our own building and are neither leasing nor renting any items and/or fixtures.
Corp Steiner: You should be really careful with you words. You've come very close to making an actionable statement. TopCrest: You clearly do not know what is in Tennesee, let alone in our area/town. The Govt. agencies we deal with pay by check. To date we've sold over $34,000 worth of good to these agencies and last night I cut another deal with yet another local agency for weapons. Your words would carry a little more weight if you weren't part of the Cavalry Arms "clique" and only out to serve your own agenda. Not to metion if you knew of what you speak. |
