I figured with all the Grendel popularity lately we should have a spot to share all the new builds happening.

Here's mine currently.

2A Armament receiver set, handguard, and adjustable bcg with AA hard use bolt
Christensen Arms carbon wrapped 18" barrel
NF unimount with Vortex HS-T 4-16x (hopefully soon to be pst gen 2 3-15x)
SOPMOD enhanced stock, which is heavy but I wanted to balance the rifle a bit.

Shooting factory 123gr SST right around 3/4 moa and 2550 fps

Weighs 7lbs 12oz without suppressor and mag.

Have thought about doing a Grendel how is the recoil on it compared to the 5.56? I fucked up my shoulder so need low recoil yet want something more than the standard 5.56.

I honestly don't think mine kicks any more than my 5.56 rifles. Get an adjustable gas system to tune it and it'll be a soft shooter.

First ground up build.

First round of reloads

Final configuration on a Noreen billet lower with a Delton 2 stage trigger.

16" odin works barrel, odin works bcg, bcm upper, burris xtrii 2-10

I have had it out once and it is a soft shooter with the intermediate gas system and using an vltor a5 receiver extension. Wolf steel case ran great too. Have not shot for groups yet but 124 gr Hornady SST seemed to be doing well.

BHW .264LBC 11.5" barrel I had finish reamed by a member on the Grendel forum to get to a .300 neck. So basically a Grendel II chamber, works great with steel cased. It shoots 3MOA-ish with the Wolf steel case, which is just fine.

Here's mine, will edit for details later, I hate posting on my phone. This buttstock was made world famous by @rizzo1318, I found it in the 'pay it forward bin' at a hometown shoot. Imagine my surprise when I ordered his book and recognized the paint job. I painted the rest of the rifle, but I'm leaving the buttstock as is.

Mod I 20" 6.5 sporter Kit that got me started about ten years ago before I knew anything about the Grendel. The group was with Hornady black box and a bipod no rear bag at 100yds. The rifle is capable of better but the shooter gets bored easily. Scope is a cheap 4 X 16 Millet in a burris mount. And yes it has the dreaded .125 bolt. Along with an adjustable JP gas block.

still waiting on my thread protector and gas tube to show up. I can't find my memory card for my camera so this terrible iphone picture will have to suffice for now. When I had this rifle with a BCM A2 20in barrel I could hit the 600 yard torso with boring repetition with just holds, I'm hoping to push that to 800 by dialing.

I would love to see all things Grendel in here, I plan on posting a few pics of my rifle next to some critters. Build plans, ammo testing, show and tell, hunting stories....all that stuff.

You and I have some similar tastes in grendel barrel.
20" Christensen Arms carbon wrapped barrel.
SA adjustable clamp gas block
Stiener T5xi 3-15
MI rail
Griffin Recce 7
CMC trigger

Factory ELD's hover around .9 5 shot groups. SSTs were about the same for me.
Still hunting for a load it likes with the AR comp I have. ELDs seem pretty mediocre..not bad, not great either though. Trying a new load with some Nosler 123gr custom comps out this weekend that seemed promising.

Place holder. Currently rebuilding my long range Grendel, have a blaster Grendel, and waiting for a 16" Faxon barrel from a Group Buy for a sort of recce Grendel. Will post pictures once this move is complete and the LR Grendel is built.

Same here, I plan to build that one and then a 16" build with a BA barrel. Pretty much a CWAR but with the mk13/14 and a different optic.
