| I was talking to a guy today about AR's,he said he takes out the buffer detent in his guns!He had one break off years ago and really jam up,never used one since.Anybody else do this? |
Your rifle will run just fine without one-just be careful when you open up the gun for cleaning 
ETA: The only time I've run without one was after having one break in a new build that I was shooting for the first time. That particular range trip was the one time I left my parts kit at home. It seemed silly to cut the day short over an inconsequential part-so I closed the gun up and kept on trucking. The buffer detent is nothing more than a convenience item for the shooter. |
