[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Next Project

This will be my next project. CMMG lower, DPMS Slickside upper. Not sure which direction to take it. Possibly a 18" barrel varminter/tack driver. Any suggestions?

I was just in the same spot a month ago....just shot my 6.8 spc today. Its an AR on steroids. love it and its something different than every other 556

I might go with the SS barrel and rifle length gas system, Kinda MK12'ish.

If your talking the BCM SS410, its quite a nice barrel. Makes my rifle a bit nose heavy, but went together without a hitch while using all BCM parts on the upper minus the reciever

does your DPMS slickside upper have m4 ramp cuts?

Yes it does have the M4 ramps.
