what about stocking the Valdada 4x24 tactical (.223)? I think thats a good all around IOR scope and it gets nothing but good reviews. I'll probably be ordering one soon to put on an HK SL8. If I order from SWFA I have to pay tax since I live in TX.

They have a new 3x illuminated reticule model that sorta resembles the CQ/T  (There is a pic of it on a DS ARMs AR as the 'giveaway gun' in this months SWAT).

I would be interested in this optic if the price was right.

1.1-4x cqb reticle.  I already have one, but others would likely buy them if you carried it and perhaps promoted it.

I have had 2 IOR's. Great scope, for the money. What's up with the rear focal plane reticle placement?? They started with the MP8 in  FFP, and now switched to the rear??hinking.gif

The MP8 reticle is still the shit!!!

from what I've read IOR thought that the US would prefer a non FFP scope- so they changed it... I have a 2.5-10x42 tactical with the MP-8 FFP and I love it...

VERY interested in these as ACOG alternatives.  What's the prices for 308 and 223 calibrated models.  And which reticles?

I've got the M1 and the M2, they're very nice.  I'd like to see a more affordable price on the 1.25x4, as well as the new 3x, though.  At close to $600 for those, they're outa my price range.

The Dragunov reticle looks awesome at night.
Its an eerie bright green.   I'm considering one in a M2 version for a FAL.

An M1A just screams for a scope such as this.

A US Optics SN-4  would fit the bill, but at a significantly higher cost.

SWFA sells the 1.1-4x26 for $700

The Leupold Leupold VX-III 1.5-5x20 is $400.

The Leupold Leupold VX-III Illuminated 1.5-5x20 is $570.

In general the IOR scopes that have caught my eye in the past are the:

1.1-4x26
4x24
6x30
6x42

I really like the CQB reticle The M2 looks appealing to me, and I may well get one, provided the price is good!

I just wish IOR would go back to including the M16 carryhandle mount with the scope...

On the CQB reticle the little circles are 10" range finders, starting with the one on left for 300 yards and going right they go up to 600 yards for the smallest one.
The horseshoe is 18 inches across at 100 yards for exterior of it, interior diameter is 10" at 100 yards.  Center dot to horseshoe inner edge is 10" at 200 yards.
 Hash marks are 3.6" between.
Horseshoe does not illuminate but I can do the both eyes open with it and it is fast.  Field of view is real good at 1.1x, 100 feet or so.
Illumination is good for dim light not bright daylight.  On the CQB the reticle does not look cluttered like in pic, the markings are finely etched and are not noticeable unless you are focusing on them, except the horseshoe.

One other thing to consider, is that IOR CS dept. still needs work. Anybody ever had to call Val in Colorado, and ask a question?? I have...And it ain't easy!

That said, I had a 2.5-10x42mm tactical scope, MP8 retical that had some problems, and he made good on it and sent me a new scope. Just getting ahold of him can be a hassel. (Or it was a few years ago.)

His phone # used to be secret squirrel, and would be passed around in emails. Many people have emailed me for his phone #.
And Val can be what one might call "fickle" about fixing stuff. But, he's been good to me.

I liked there LR stuff for awhile, and cooled off when they went full steam ahead on the rear focal plane retical's. Bad mojo when you are using a ranging retical. this pushed me over to the "dark side of the force"...US Optics

How's about the Valdada spotting scopes? Those are the deal of the century when compared to other top-end stuff like Swarovski, Leica, etc.

IOR/Meopta spotters are very good. Eye relief is a little short, but glass is great!! No, it's not a Swaro or Leica, but good for the price......

The Dragunov has both range finding and bullet drop built-in using a two meter? (standing man) as the reference.

Actually it references to a 1.7m target, i.e. an average male standing up.

$650.00 from DSA. Little too rich for my blood for a 3x fixed scope, but it does have the 'gee-whiz' factor going for it...

Hi cheaptrick,

If you get the scope from us you will not have to deal with Val you will deal with us and we will deal with the scope and Val from that point on.

When you get an item from us you get the manufacture backing it and if that’s not good enough you will get our backing!

I surely don't mean to slam IOR. I have owned a few, and they performed very well.

I did have a crazy issue with a 2.5-10x42mm tactical, that Val fixed no questions asked.

I appreciate you backing your products. That's very important to me.

I've been sitting on the fence about getting the M2 for my FAL. I just went to your site and saw the original M1 closeout for $270!!! I am no longer sitting on anything, just placed my order. Can't wait to put it on my DSA, thanks
