I'm putting together a SPR type rifle. 18" WOA barrel, Larue rails, LMT lower, etc. Ideally, I would like it to be a mid range precision type set up, capable to 600 yards.

What optic would you suggest?

I'm interested in the new Trijicon Accupoint due out next year...but I'm not sure 4x is sufficient magnification.
Leupold Mk4 3x9 is an option as well.

Any others you'd recommend?

I am putting a Bushnel Eliete 6500 2.5-16 x50 on my 20 inch Stealth Upper I have on order from Larue. It has worked well for me on a Bolt gun I had. The glass is very clear and the scope cost me $600.

Leupold MkIV 2.5x8. It has big eye relief like 3".

I'll third that.

Mine was wearing a 3.5-10, but a lighter scope would be better, especially if it's in a good mount like a LaRue.

I also have the Mk4 2.5-8 in a 104 mount on a 18" 308. Great setup. I like it alot.

Would the LT-123 rings work with the Leupold 2.5-8 in a Mk. 12 MOD 0 type setup?
