I have a Brand New Postban DPMS M-4 and I am installing the EOTech 552 plus I want a Tactical light.
Here is a small Criteria List I need for the light.

1. The mounting bracket and the light will mount around the front sight or on the Barrel next to the Hand Guards.

I cannot install rails on the Hand Guards I had the Double Heat Shielded Hand Guards installed on the Rifle when I ordered it. I am a fairly good sized guy, but my hands are the size of woman or teenager's hands.

2. I want the push button switch on the back of the Light.

3. I do not want to change out the Hand Guards for the style light that has the Light and Switches installed with the Hand Guards.

4. I am looking for the brightest Light I can get for this style application.

5. I would prefer having a Light that would burn for the longest continual time I can get.

6. I would also like to have a Light were the batteries has a good shelf life.

I am probably asking for too much, but I would sure appreciate the help, advice, and suggestions.

Thanks Guys nwatson99

You're going to end up with something from Surefire.  However, your "brightest for the app" and run time requirements are going to conflict.

What do you suggest Lumpy?

Modified the first post I guess I was asking for too much time after I thought about it.
Thanks on heads up for that one Lumpy196

For what you are describing in terms of mounting, Id probably go with the GG&G SLiC:

Or Wilson makes a decent looking front sight mount, but Ive never seen it in person, so I cant vouch for the quality:

Either with a 9V Surefire 950 Classic and order the push button tail cap.

Its a little leaner in profile than the Surefire front sight mount:

You could also go with the barrel mount set at an angle to the side of the front sight, but tightening things down on the barrel can change harmonics and point of impact, so I dont really favor them:

Or you could simplify the whole thing for yourself and go with the Surefire M500:

Only thing I did different was mount the light on my M4 HG's highter up say at the 11:00 position near the sight tower. I mounted a Streamlight M3. Really workds great!
Maybe in a week I will have some pics for you.

Either way, let us know what you did!
