sten mag with 3/4 square tube welded to it. works great but it was a BITCH to make and align mag catch.
I'm thinking of taking a sten and removing the rib for use with .45 if i cant find a decent supplier, anybody know of one?

Supplier of what, Sten mags?  I bought a metric buttload from Tapco last year.  I think they have them for 5 bucks each currently.  Tell me about removing the rib in the mags?  What holds the back of the mags together once the rib is removed?  And, HOW do you remove the rib?

I should clarify, modified UZI mags for .45.

I havent tried removing the rib yet but wwhen i do i'll use a die grinder with a cut off wheel and weld a flat peice back in. Sten mags are good to use because of the slightly heaver construction, easier weldability. The only thing stopping a sten from feeding .45 is the rib and a slight mod to the feed lips.
