This is my first build. I had help from "Rock501" another user on here. He pretty much broke it down and put the thing together in front of me while explaining the rifle. Happy to say im getting acquainted with this new rifle. She has about 120 rounds through her. Just enough for the barrel break In procedure the manual called for(Makes me look like I have OCD and someone did notice).

I started with an "Optics Ready" DPMS Carbine 16"($700ish after tax. It was purchased at a new local shop that opened up)

I then ordered the following pieces

-BCM Bolt Kit($35)
-12" Daniel Defense Omega Rail($297 Ebay)
-MagPul Flip Up Composite "Irons"($98)
-Yankee Hill Low Profile Gas Block($22)
-6x MagPul XTM Rail Covers($48)
-Used EOTech 552 bought from user "Norinco982lover"($350 Shipped)
-MagPul Front grip(Used from Rock501)($20)
-MagPul aluminum trigger guard.($20)

-Total(Say a bit over $1650ish after shipping cost for various parts)

Pictures Time!

How do you like that DPMS Pardus stock? I've had one of those for a couple years and I dig it.

I'm really digging the stock. I was thinking about going with a Magpul adjustable, but im happy with what I have now(So Far). I still need to get used to the gun, so I may find I dont like it. Sadly the local range doesn't allow anything but bench shooting. Cant practice anything yet.

The EOtech 552 I bought used from a user on here. I was a bit worried after I bought it because I saw a ton of replicas online. All I had to do was a little reading. The sight is legit and I should get it zeroed in on Saturday(Next range trip). I almost want to remove the back up irons to move the EOtech back. What do you guys think?

Same here, I almost bought a Magpul, but couldn't justify it at the time so I went with the Pardus. It has worked great for me. I have Magpul PRS stock on a Mega MA-TEN and it works precisely as advertized. Magpul makes great stuff so next time I will go with Magpul.

The Eotech has a large reticle so you shouldn't have any problems where it is currently mounted. You could remove the backups and kick it back more if it does bother you.

True. Tactically speaking its fine the way it is. Backups are important, BUT I think it looks alot better with it all the way back.

I got the trigger guard put in last night.
This is a shot from the range today. I got the EOtech sighted in and its working out great.
