I have a Picatinny 4 rail forearm due in next week

I still have to change the front sight to just a gas block with a fold up sight, add a rear BUIS, add some sort of optics and a light/laser on the forearm.

Any suggestions / comments?

That is a really nice build! I have one with the KD lower, they are really nice looking. Why don't you keep the FSB as is and just add a BUIS and optic?

I might, I haven't made my mind up on what exactly I want to do.  Being that this is my first build, I have discovered that there are endless possibilities for accessories.  I really like the Kaiser lower.  I had absolutely no problems in putting it together.

Kaiser makes some lowers for Spike's Tactical as well.

Even the budget Magpul kool-aid is tasty.

Very nice. How long did it take you to put it together?

All total, about two hours.  I watched some how to videos and read the Build It Yourself section here at ARFCOM.  It was pretty stress free.  I just had to remember that a few of the parts are spring loaded...Boing!  The barrel assembly was already mated to the upper receiver.

I have a JT (doublestar) barrel on a KD lower as well, though I did put the upper together with a Bravo upper and MOE handguard.

As for comments,  I'd personally skip the laser.  What are you thinking for BUIS and optics?  I like the micro aimpoints, but I am stocking up on lower receivers first.  Magpul has some pretty sweet BUS coming out you might want to look into.

Thanks.  I'll check out the micro aimpoints and the Magpuls.  I looked at the MOE handguard online and it didn't look like you could attach anything to it.  Is it just a carbine replacement handguard?

It has slots to mount rails on it.  I have a rail section and a spike tactical stubby vfg coming next week.  it has slots top and bottom, then 2 positions on each side.  I quite like it.
