I finished putting everything together and am super excited to shoot it. This is my very first AR and have only shot about 50 rounds through another AR. I started this build with a complete lower and waited about a month before I found the upper that I wanted. I decided I hated the trigger pull and took my budget build into under $1k build. For now I only have a range that allows me to shoot 50yards and will be sighting in there. As soon as I find an acceptable outdoor range for 100-200yards/meters I plan on buying an optic, which will probably be a scope.
I am super excited to shoot this gun!

Nice rifle, a 50yd zero would be optimum for sighting it in. The ballistics of the .223 round basically mean you'll be POA/POI at 50yds and 200m with the maximum rise over line of sight about 2."

Yes it does. I've shot both using such a zero and it worked for me.
