So far I havent be able to find a good resource for showing the pros/cons of the major MB's and FH's on the market.

Is there a good middle man that provides both decent muzzle brakeing and good flash hiding or is there no such thing?

Muzzle brakes: what works: do a search on the forum section: "3gun Rifle/Technical" on the forum at www.brianenos.com

Flash hiders: do a search on that term here on AR15.com

BTW - a supressor will serve both functions rather well.
