I am getting ready to purchase a new scope and I think I have settled on the Burris 1.5-6x-42mm MTAC.  I have been shopping around for awhile and I have settled on this unless you guys have any better recommendations.  At first,  I was looking into getting the MTAC 1-4x24 but I would like a little more magnification.

My question is and I am sure this is a noob question but I dont want to order the wrong mount.  Would the Burris AR Perp mount work?  OR do you have any suggestions which mount you would use for the Burris 1.5-6x-42mm MTAC.  Thanks for your help I have tried finding the answer online but I am having a tough time.

My budget is $400 for the scope and I would like to not pay more thatn $100 for a mount.  Thanks again.

The pepr is a decent mount but if I could give you some advice.....
Buy once, cry once, get a Larue

I don't know why no one ever says try a GG&G mount.
They are high quality made in the good old US of A
and while not cheap they are less expensive than
some others out there.

Thanks.  I just ordered the MTAC 1-4x buuuut I still haven't gotten around to removing the stock front post site  will the scope still work for the time being?  I guess it's not much $$ to get a new gas block but I'm just wondering.

Edit-  if I were to just order a Troy low pro gas block .75 and a 13.8 Troy mrf Rx battle rail is that all the parts I'd need?  I would like to add these to my order and after reading it sounds like that's all I need but I'm not 100% sure.  My friend who just finished building his AR will install it but he's not answering my calls at the moment!  Thanks for all of your help I'm so happy I have this forum!
