Varmints, go for 20 rounders if youre gonna be shooting prone. I would suggest 5 20 rounders and as many 30 rounders as you can afford, just because there are legislators that would ban hicaps.

(1)  20's do have an advantage when shooting prone.

(2)  They are not more reliable than USGI 30's.

Also, I use brownells mags with great success.

Get an equal number of 20 and 30 round mags.

20's for hunting and bench shooting.

30's for standing up and fighting

100 round Beta mag to look cool in front of you buddies

There have been complaints about the curved 20's but the 20rd straight body magazines made by NHMTG in Hartford, CT are GOOD TO GO!

COLT 20 rounders WITH METAL FOLLOWERS ONLY or USGI

DO NOT GET THEM WITH PLASTIC Followers

I have the Black Teflon12/05 D&H Curve 20 rounders 8 of them

They work/run 100%  Very sharp and spot welds could be better

But I feel that my OLD COLT mags are Better made,
smoother

BTW

I can use 30 rounders Prone? NO problems

the only reason not to use 30 rounders while shooting prone, standing is for the weight.

buy whatever you want and shoot whatever you want, but the added weight is what affects accuracy while standing.
