| I just bought an Okay industries USGI magazine and I noticed that the mag body is a different color than the floor plate. The magazine body is a dull grey finish but the floor plate is totaly black. Is it normal for the mag body and floor plate to be different color than this, or is there something I should be worried about? Thanks. |

Floorplates have no moly dry-film finish on them. Instead, they are just Hard-Coat Anodized, using black dye in the process, just like most AR receivers. Mag bodies are HCA'd, but usually with silver, bronze, grey, or brown dye, then coated with the molybdenum dry-film finish. -Troy |
