Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - MK12 SPR ammo what will it eat?

I am interested in getting a MK12 SPR it will have an 18" stainless barrel, 1/7 twist and a rifle length gas tube of course ideally I would want to feed this rifle 77 gr ammo. Now there is no way I could afford to do this often so I was wondering what would the effects on the rifle and it's accuracy be if I used cheap 223 55gr bulk ammo from let's say Walmart or the like?

you get what you pay for. At 100yds, you should be able to hit a tennis ball everytime, but probably not a golf ball...

Learn to reload!  It will cut your costs by about half.
