I hope I’m not re-posting something that someone already did.
I remember reading a post where someone made a modification to a trigger guard that uses screws instead of the roll pin. Recently, my friend gave me a few standard trigger guards that had this modification done to them that came off used rifles he bought. He decided to go with Magpuls. That gave me the incentive to make a modification to the MIAD F4 part which is the enhanced trigger guard integrated into the front strap. I’ve installed over 3 dozen trigger guards and never had a problem installing or taking out the pin that holds down the trigger guard but I was never a fan of it. I’m also not a fan of the finger grove that’s on the front strap of the F4. I remember someone mentioned grinding it down but that wouldn’t look good.
First, I used a fine toothed saw to cut off the trigger guard off.
I installed it on the lower and used the holes on the ears as guides to drill pilot holes. I used the drill bit that came with the 4-40 tap and drilled the correct size holes and tapped it. Unless you are using a drill press or really good at freehand drilling, I’d recommend drilling on each side instead of trying to drill all the way through.
Sand down the area where you cut. There is a line to use as a guide where to stop. The closer you cut to that line, the less sanding you’ll need to do. For the screws, I used 4-40, ¼” long with a pan head. You could find these at ACE.
Put a drop of blue loctite on the threads and assemble.
Here is the finished product.
Sure you could buy the MOE or aluminum trigger guard if you don’t like the finger grove but if you already have the full kit, here is another option and you don’t have to worry about that roll pin. I’ve done this to 2 others and once I had all the tools out, it took less than 15 minutes each.

I did this mod last month. Instead of staying all FDE i had a black B2 / FDE grip / Black F2 and then FDE trigger guard. Some reason i didn't want it all FDE but it looks nice IMO

you could round the edge out and give it a polish and it will look exactly like the MOE trigger guard.
