I am doing a bit of planning for my next build which will be a .308 around the Mega MA-Ten.
I want to use the Magpul ACS stock. Standard Milspec carbine extension tube. Armalite AR10 Recoil Spring. Slash's Carbine buffer for AR15 tubes. Is this the correct combination? |

| Will the DPMS Buffer and Spring work also? Isn't it a shortend buffer for ar15 tubes similar to slash's? |

Will the DPMS Buffer and Spring work also? Isn't it a shortend buffer for ar15 tubes similar to slash's? It will work also, I think the Slash one is supposed to reduce some of the speed at which that heavy 308 BCG slams back into the buffer tube, also, reducing felt recoil. I went with Slash's option because of this. I bought the lightest parts possible for my 16" MATEN build, so any reduction in recoil is a good thing. :) MagPul actually officially recommends Slash's heavy 308 CAR buffer to use with their stocks specifically for this scenerio/reason. |
