draw straws, flip a coin, pull numbers out of a hat.
lately they all are up to par and all have their minor blemishes like anything else thats human made. but i like these in this order bushmaster dpms mega ameetec doublestar rra colt |

Actually what I am asking is, what companies actually fabricate the lowers receivers for companies like RRA, Bushmaster, Ameetec, Etc.

For what i know, CMT manufacters STAG (CMT's retail seller, real cheap, real nice), COLT, BUSHMASTER, RRA, and a couple others possibly.
I know Essential Arms and Cav Arms manufacter their own lowers. |

Ok, so far we have the following:
1) Continental Machine and Tool (CMT) – Bushmaster – Colt – Rock River Arms – Stag Arms 2) Armalite – manufactures own lowers 3) Essential Arms – manufactures own lowers 4) Calvary Arms – manufactures own lowers 5) Lewis Machine and Tool (LMT) - ?????? 6) L.A.R. Manufacturing (LAR) (LARGrizzly) - Spikes Tactical - Bushmaster ???? Corrections and additions to the list are welcome/needed please! |

I thought Bushmaster started making their own in-house (used to subcontract out to LAR, didn't they) Pretty much all forged lowers seem to be pretty comparable, as far as I can tell. So it's really just a matter of cosmetics and personal preference. CMMG's lowers are really nice - I forget who they contract with. |

I also heard LAR made Bushmasters lowers. Can anyone else confirm whether LAR or CMT made lowers for Bushmaster?
