I have looked on this forum for this information but i want help for my needs specifically.
I am really wanting to build my first AR 15 in 223 but like many people i don't even know what lower to purchase.  I don't want to get the most expensive one out there but i am willing to spend some money to ensure i get a good lower. I am going to school for Criminal Justice so in theory i would like for this gun to be my rifle for the squad car eventually if the department doesn't supply (if being law enforcement makes a difference on the lower). I am wanting a lower without any logos other than the caliber, safe & fire? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Palmetto State Armory (PSA) just happens to have an awesome sale on lowers going on right now.
Both a reputable company at a great price.

I should point out that unless you make it yourself from a 80% or lower blank, you're going to have to have some sort of logo or company name on it, it's the law.

Another vote for PSA - during the sale you're not going to find a better price for a quality lower.

pete @ ar15sales.com has great deals on pre-built or build yourself Stag rifles.  there are higher end rifles, but Stag is definitely worthy of being a duty rifle.

mega machine shop & sun devil make nice billet lowers, the tension screw on the billet lower i got from denny's guns is very cool.  it removes all play between the upper & lower receiver so your rifle feels very solid.

I bought 2 the last sale in July.  I have one stripped and one completed lower from PSA.  I installed a MOE CTR Stock Kit from PSA and a DPMS LPK.  I replaced the handgrip with a Ergo Ambi Grip and the CTR buttpad with an enhanced buttpad.  My RRA CAR Upper fit the lower perfectly.  More perfectly than the RRA lower, IMHO.  The PSA lowers are a great choice for the money.  I really don't know why anyone would not buy their lowers.  Oh, and I just ordered 2 more today.

Don't buy one from PSA...Buy three at the 49.99 sale price...You will not regret it!
