| Hello. I am somewhat new to the AR world. Had mine for a year now. Punched out 1k rounds. Betty is just beginning to break in. I am thinking about a different trigger than the Mil Spec one I have. Not the topic though. I was wondering if there was a way to load stripper clips with rounds other than by hand? I have purchased some bulk ammo and wish to keep it organized as best I can... in a can... Any thoughts? |

This guy sells boxes to store your ammo in. The boxes are packed per 30 as they should be! It's kind of stupid to put on strips just to take them off strips to load in the magazine... I like these boxes because they can easily be related to magazines, ie 3 boxes loads 3 magazines. |

Seriously? You do know you use the strips with a "spoon" to quickly load the mags, right? Works on PMAGS and GI. |

I suppose it would be stupid to load the ammo on stripper clips just to pull them off and load a magazine one round at a time, However, using a spoon, it takes me just a few seconds to load a twenty, thirty or even a forty round magazine. |

I use the StripLULA to load my ammo on stripper clips again. You just to be sure that the rounds are in the stripper clip. Once the stripper clip is full, bend the retainer back so rounds will not fall off. Then slide the stripper clip out of the StripLULA and insert another empty stripper clip.

I'm gonna try that, thanks. |

Just seen this on YouTube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcxLbT3EaHk This has to be the fastest way to load these mags!!! I will be definitely be getting one of these!!! Just ordered one! ;) |

True, but the referenced YouTube video is loading the magazines, not reloading ammo onto the stripper clips.. However, I am not able to visualize how you are reloading the clips using the striplula. Are you saying to load the striplula with ammo, then slide the clip into the striplula to load the ammo onto them? or put a clip in the striplula and slide the rounds onto the stripper? ETA: I have never used a striplula |

ETA: I have never used a striplula 1) Insert an empty strpper clip in first. There are two retainers. The closed one should be at the bottom and the open one on top. 2) Slide the rounds into the stripper clip one at a time. 3) When you reach 10 rounds the clip is full, so then bend the top retainer down so the rounds to not fall off of the stripper clip. 4) Slide out the full stripper clip and then put another empty one in. |

OK, I am now even more confused. That is EXACTLY the way I load stripper clips without a striplula. Pick up a round, slide it on the clip, then repeat. I am not seeing how the striplula makes it any easier or faster. My one suggestion is to only bend the end clips at about a 45 degree angle, they will hold the ammo, and last longer before breaking off. |

Before training courses (instructing or participating), I plop down in front of the TV at home and load stripper clips. I can do a case of ammo in under an hour. It's pretty easy to just do it by hand, and it's a normal prep step for the range or training. Just takes some planning ahead of time.
Consider it therapy. |

If you're got the coin, just buy a Benchloader and take it shooting with you. Loads a mag in a few seconds. http://www.brownells.com/shooting-accessories/speedloaders-accessories/magazine-speedloaders/ar-15-m16-benchloader-prod22188.aspx?avs|Manufacturer_1=MAGLULA%20LTD.&avs|Price_1=300xzzx00%20TO%20799xzzx99 |

I have one of these and I love it.
Striplula You can insert loaded stripper clips into it or even just put 10 rounds in it by hand, works just great either way. |
