Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Leupold VXII 6X18X40 AO Target Scope any good?

Working on building a paper punching rifle, 20" SS RRA upper, will free float and add NM lower later.  Is this enough scope for range work (no more than 200yds) or is it overkill?  I have heard that Leupold scopes are decent quality and hold up well.  Would like some feedback from users if possible.  Thanks!

I had the Vari-XII version on 3 seperate occasions. Great scope but they always went with the gun when I sold it.
