Hello,

I'm about to purchase a "plain jane" 20" A2 Bushmaster rifle. I'd like to see what sort of fine rifles you guys have!!! I need to see some nice pictures to ease the pain while I'm waiting for mine! Thanks!

Best.

I am suffering too.  They shipped some of my stuff so I'm hoping the upper is on it's way to the dealer right now.  Head over to the AR Discussions section of the AR15 part of this site and at the top you'll see a tacked thread called the AR15 Picture Thread.  They have a pic of just about everything imaginable in that thread.

A factory Colt AR15A2 HBAR that was made in Sept of 1990.  The only thing that has been altered is the pistol grip:

I just restored my Colt Match HBAR to its original configuration yesterday and moved the M4 gizmos over to my new Mega lower.  Photo session planned for tonight.  Thread tagged for addition of pictures . . .

there is something very nice about an old'a2... a light weapon... good sights... able to hit targets 300m away and for some further than that...

won't skip a beat... wonderful...

Here's my Colt AR15A2.  Bought it in 1988 in California for $624.  Has military profile barrel (thinner under handguards), 1/7 twist.  Only trhing I've done is replace worn out gas rings once.

Colt HBAR with NM front sight and Colt factory NM single stage trigger. The rifle no longer has the ACOG on it. It's more fun to shoot this at 500 yds with iron sights then my M4's with an ACOG.

Here is my post ban Colt HBAR.  I'm going to send it to ADCO to have the barrel threaded and an A2 flash hider put on.  I was thinking about a new FSB with bayo lug, but I'll probably pass on that due to the cost.

The lack of a muzzle device always turned me off on this rifle....... even though she's a fine shooter.

Stickman,

Is that photoshopped or actually painted like that? Either way it looks cool.

A good guy (Whisper 44)from another board has taken a few of my carbines, and redone them with a computer program.  I am trying to work them into an angle for actually doing them with paint, but I just don't have a good enough way to refinish them and have them turn out in these patterns.

Here is his version of my carbine in Tiger Stripe....

My first long gun.  Purchased as a kit in '99.

Olympic lower and upper receivers, buttstock and parts kit.  I added a  JP single-stage trigger in '01.

Last week I replaced the original barrel with a Bushmaster "Government Profile" and screwed on a Phantom flash supressor.  I like it.
