I can't speak about lowers only, but all of my factory complete LMTs have S buffers.

+1 I got my lower with a standard carbine buffer.
I upgraded mine and bought a LMT H buffer for better reliability. |

When I recieved my Defender 2000 lower two years ago it came with a S buffer. I've yet to have a single hiccup through my LMT carbine.
