I just put one in––2 pound trigger (very light). The rifle function tests and the safety works but the safety also moves to "Safe" after the trigger has been pulled and the hammer is down. is this normal for a single stage trigger? My stock triggers do not allow the safety in this condition, to be moved to safe.
Thanks! |
Mine does the same thing. I got losts of of light strikes with the 2# spring. I upgraded to the 3# and still have a few. My next trigger will be a Chip McCormick or Timney. Customer service from JARD is poor. Their suggestion was to BUY a heavier spring if the one that came with the trigger didn't work.

| I've used about a half dozen Jard single stage non-adjustables, including on 2#, and have not encountered anything like that. It does make me wonder if everything is intalled correctly. The easiest thing to try might be to just take it out and put it all back in again and see if that condition persists. |

I did shoot it the other day and all was fine except that it still goes safe with hammer down.
One thing that it may be is that the screw in the pistol grip may not be up high enough––it sticks up about 1/8 inch and it calls for 1/4 inch. The threads seemed to have stopped at the very end of that hole but not cut ALL the way on one side––probably need to run a die in there. I should call them though. Thanks for all your thoughts. |
| i just installed a 3lb ar10 trigger from them. mine does rotate to safe with the hammer down as well. i went ahead and threaded the rest of the hole for the sear engagement screw in the ar10 receiver to no avail. no matter where you set the sear engagement it still rotates to safe. a function check comes out fine, and the rifle fires fine too; no ND/UD even when slamming the buttstock to the ground with the hammer cocked |
