I just took out my ML2 on my RRA HB Carbine. I was using Remington 55 gr FMJ and 50 gr JHP at 50 yards. I have horrible eyesight so i did the best i could but i am wondering if this is par for the course.

Thanks

yea.  that's good.
try at 200 yds.  if you can shoot 6" your doing good.

Hard to say.  How big was your group?

Looks alright to me though.

i agree grouping is good but the point of impact seems left to me. just remember it will be roughly double at 100 and 4x left at 200. something to think about.

At 50 yards the dot is 2" across, so you should be able to at least keep 5 rds inside that. Keep practicing.

I routinely get 4-5" groups with my Aimpoint at 200 yards, even though the dot is 8" across.

Better than my $30 optic and high quality varmint ammo (mag of 30 after getting on paper with wolf at 50 yards)

Edit: if I didn’t look in the red dot right I wouldn’t get the shot right, shouldn’t have that problem with an aimpoint, this was my best grope.
