New guy here - just wanting to say hello.  Finally found a place where everyone likes the black rifle as much (likely more from looking at all the cool pics) as I do.  I think I'm gonna start getting emotional.ho
Am new to the forum, and new to the internet in general, so be gentle.  I bruise easily (I don't usually have to hit very hard, and . . . . boom, some guy has a big bruise).

No prob on the pro-gun thing.  Pretty avid.  I pretty well only grab guns from the bangers and people who use them while drunk.  I figure the guys with the CCW's are my friends.

I will be looking around on all the other pages - but this thing is huge, with lots of good info.  It'll take me awhile to catch up or even get my bearings.  Thanks, though.

Welcome!  It's always nice to see a good addition to the site.  Give us some background on your weapons.  In particular what is your issue AR and any "accessories"?

And for your sake, don't let your wife contact mine about this website!

A few pictures are worth a thousand words:

Me a few years back w/ PD issue Colt AR15A3.  Had the Aimpoint Comp on a GGG rail with the ITT 6015 behind it for night shooting.  Some sort of BUIS (think GGG also - issued, so I didn't care).  Still have the same rifle, but without the rail system on it (no longer on SWAT as of a few months ago, so no real need - and they took it back).  Only gun I've ever been in a gunfight with.

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a307/jlatzke/100_0795.jpg

My PD issue gun on bottom, and my most recent AR on top.  Took an Armalite A3 and put on a free-float tube, bipod, RRA trigger, and IOR 4x24 scope.  It likes the Fed 69 grains (about 3/4 minute gun).

DPMS DCM gun.  Have had it longer than the Armalite, but fired it way less (will start competing again soon, but have been too busy).

And for my baby-doll bolt rifle:

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a307/jlatzke/100_0839.jpg

Rem 700P .308, IOR 2.5-10, McMillan A5, Eagle bag.  Honest 1/2 MOA gun, often better.  Our PD issue bolt guns are the same but w/ Leups and factory HS stocks (different drag bags).

That enuff pics and description?  Don't like to bore people.  Threw the bolt gun in, but thought pistols would be inappropriate.

And I like to keep the rifles fairly simple.  Less stuff to go wrong or break.

Nice pics!  I love my bolt guns too.  No need to leave the pistols out either.  I know it's the AR forum but as long as you have three AR's I'm sure no one would mind a few pistols too.

Appreciate all the welcomes.  Don't get upset if I don't answer for the next few days.  Will be gone the rest of the week to a narcotics conference (where we will discuss how bad drugs are for you, how to arrest people for using them, and then at the end of the day, go get so drunk we can't see See ya'll around.  I already like it here.

I looked, and I can't find any pics of any pistols.  I basically just carry Glocks for work.  Issued a 31, carry a 32C (am a defective), and keep a 21 in my raid gear bag to grab and go.  All work exactly the same, and i shoot well with them.  One day when I find the camera again, I'll take some gun porn shots and throw in the pistolas for good measure.

Oh, and by the way.  You guys have already cost me money.   Am having to order another lower now because I looked at too many pretty pictures.  Thanks alot.   I already am planning the early stages of the build (which will be over a few weeks as the money trickles in).

I'm already poor enough without help from you guys.

Welcome!  Its a fun place, join in anytime.  But, a "small town of 50,000"?  Heck, I live in a small town.  We have about 17,000 and I'm thinking its getting way too big for my liking.   Looking for a place in the country now.    Firty thou is way too big!

Cheers,

phil

I work in town, but live out in the county (a few miles from town).  There's nothing for about 1/4 mile north or south of my house - which is how I like it.  I hate having to listen to my neighbor's dogs bark, so I moved somewhere that makes this very unlikely.

I hear ya there!  Add loud motorcycles (no exhaust systems), rap crap so loud it shakes all the windows, and I've about had it.  I'd say you made a smart move!

Cheers,

Phil

For anyone who cares, I'm a cop (detective, former SWAT sniper) and former Marine (TOW gunner) in a small town in Oklahoma (about 50,000).   Have two personal AR's and one PD issued.  Forums like this will likely be the cause of much anguish for my wife as they make me want more stuff to spend her money on (everything we both make is hers).

Am new to the forum, and new to the internet in general, so be gentle.  I bruise easily (I don't usually have to hit very hard, and . . . . boom, some guy has a big bruise).

I will garuntee you this forum will be a cause of much anguish to your wife and to your wallet.

I understand all to well the thought that all money made is the wifes

Welcome aboard and Good Luck!

Thanks for the invite to the shoot.  Have to pass.  I work both Fri and Sat.  Usually get off work around 0300, so don't think I really want to get up that early (said you guys were gonna be there at 0800, and if I'm up that early, it means I haven't been to bed yet).  Schools about to start, so 20,000 extra people just moved into town.  Yippee.
