Hey all,
Any special requirements to mount a PRI front sight? I have heard of machining being done? Also special gas tube pins? I like to hear others experiences.
Thanks Meade

Which model are you looking at? Cross-bolt? Set screw? I'd recommend the clamp-style with cross-bolts. Easy to install.

Should be a piece of cake.

Comes with a pin for the gas tube.

Clamp style, I don't have a pin for gas tube.
Any sources or use a normal pin ground down?
Thanks Meade

A standard roll pin should work fine, they're the same diameter.

The gas tube pins are the same.

I had seen it post somewhere about different pins and machine work being done. Sounds like I'm making it more difficult than it is.
Thanks Guys

The original PRI front sights had crossbolts that went through the taper pin channels, and the channels usually had to be widened to get the bolts through (since there's no set measurement for taper pin location). Neither the setscrew style or the new crossbolt style require the extra work.
