| I need an A1 buttstock screw, and have not had any luck. Question is......can I take a cutting wheel on my Dremel and make an A2 work??? I have an A1 for a template. buzzing through it with my carbide bit should be fairly simple, and worst case scenario I buy another A2 screw which are plentiful. |

More than one member here has made an A2 into an A1 screw, just the way you describe. Try to find a nut to thread on before you cut, then when you back the nut off it will help clean up the threads. I believe it is a 1/4-28 thread. |

If you have a nut that will fit on it put that on first and run it all the way up. That way when your finished cutting the screw you can thread off the nut to help mend any threads that got messed up. Edit: beat by less than a minute....... |

there are plenty of suppliers for the correct length screw, but it would only make sense to make it a single piece of a larger parts order, if only to make the shipping charges worth while

Then I needed A1 screws for another 3 M16 stocks which Sirplus sold me. The shipping for three more A1 stock screws was something like $1.82, which I felt was great to not have to chase parts from other sites. Paladin |

I tried the Sarco free shipping online but I ended up calling to find out that they don't have them. So unless I get one from someone, then snip, snip........ I have a little while til the stock arrives anyway. |
